Programma
The course provides a general description af the most important research streams available in the field of consumer culture research. Interpretive studies will be addressed. Within this perspective, four areas will be studied: consumer identity projects, marketplace cultures (consumption communities, subcultures, postmodern tribes), the sociohistoric patterning of consumption, and mass-mediated marketplace ideologies and consumers’ interpretive strategies. Expected learning outcomes are related to basic knowledge and analytic tools in the field
